After almost 6 years of planning, designing and construction, VA Hospital in Aurora, CO is nearly done. Despite multiple set backs, it is on the right track to be be opening its door by 2018.
“It’s more than just a hospital.” – Paul Sherbo, the VA’s director of public and intergovernmental affairs said. “Surgery rooms will be larger,” he said, “There will be a Diagnostic and Treatment building and a Research building. This will be a true medical center.” The new hospital is also designed to house emerging technology.
US Army Corps of Engineers is anticipating grad opening to happen in January 2018.
