If you are tired of construction around DIA we have some bad news: there is about to be a lot more of it.
Denver has been on a consistent growth patter over the last decade and with that comes higher demand for travelling.
Denver International Airport (DIA) is sixth-busiest airport in the nation, serving over 61.4 million passengers yearly. (flydenver.com)
Since it’s opening in 1995 (after replacing Stapleton Airport) it has undergone several major construction projects including Hotel and Transit center that opened in 2015.
Now it is time for another overhaul, this time related to interior and experience. New project is called: Great Hall Improvement Project, and it is being designed by Great Hall Partners. Renovation will cover 63,000 sq ft of space and add over 50 new retailers. Project is expected to cost $1.8 billion.
This project is expected to not only improve visual appearance of the airport but also smooth current operations (in particular TSA process). City Council and Denver Airport officials are very excited about the future of this project and all of the positive outcomes it will bring.
